Over the past century music has played a very important role in the ministries at First Presbyterian Church. A cheerful choir, an outstanding organ and organist, and the occasional bodacious bagpiper all invite you into worship of the creator and sustainer of the world. There are a number of place for all ages to plug in and make a joyful noise.
The Choir - The choir meets every Thursday night during the school year to learn and practice music that will lead the congregation in worship each week. All are encouraged and welcome to join in on the fun.
Choir Cantatas - Two times a year around Easter and Christmas we are treated to a musical message by the music director and choir. Through scripture readings and song the scriptures that tell the story of Christ's birth, life, death, and resurrection are delivered in a way that captures the imagination and attention of all. These are special occasions to hear God's Word in a wonderful new way.
Children's Choir - Each month our children use there gifts to bring an offering of music to God during the service.
Special Concerts and Shows - Over the years the choir has done a number of special concerts and shows for a variety of reasons. In celebration of what God has done, to support missions efforts, or caroling at Christmas time, these are great events you won't want to miss.
